At Challah for Hunger, our mission is to raise money and awareness for anti-hunger initiatives through the production and sales of Challah. Challah for Hunger at Binghamton was founded in 2009 and is one of the 70 internationally recognized chapters.
Challah for Hunger at Binghamton University
Every other week, Challah for Hunger prepares and bakes challah, sells the challah on campus, and donates the proceeds to charity! We prepare the dough on Wednesday nights from 5pm to 7pm and we bake the dough on Thursday afternoons from 4pm to 6pm in Appalachian Dining Hall.

About Challah for Hunger
Our flavors include regular, chocolate chip, cinnamon sugar, and so much more. At Binghamton, every other week we bake our loaves on campus at the Appalachian Dining Hall Kitchen. We prepare the Challah loaves from scratch every Wednesday; on Thursdays we we bake and bag the loaves, and on Friday's we sell the loaves from the Hillel Office between 12PM - 4PM (UUW208B).
Challah for Hunger at Binghamton instills the message of advocacy in our community. As advocates we promote numerous activities that illuminates hunger in Broome county and abroad. Help us continue to bake the world a "breader" place.
Challah for Hunger at Binghamton donates our profits to anti-Hunger initiatives. Challah for Hunger at Binghamton donates half of our profits to Mazon: A Jewish Response to Hunger. The other half of our profits goes to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier who works tirelessly to feed the people in our community.
