About Challah for Hunger
Our flavors include regular, chocolate chip, cinnamon sugar, and so much more. You name it, we bake it. At Binghamton, every week we bake our loaves on campus at the Sodexo bakery located in Appalachian Dinning Hall at Mountainview College. We make and braid the Challah loaves from scratch every Wednesday; on Thursdays, we then bake, bag and sell the loaves around campus and in the Hillel Office from 4PM - 6PM (UUW208). We have implemented a pre-order system that not only allows you to pick up your challah in the office, but it can be delivered to your dorm room on campus and some apartment communities off campus by our amazing Community Representatives. Make sure to look for the pre-order form in Hillel News for Jews and our Facebook page.
Challah for Hunger at Binghamton instills the message of advocacy in our community. As advocates we promote numerous activities that illuminates hunger in Broome county and abroad. Help us continue to bake the world a "breader" place.
Challah for Hunger at Binghamton donates our profits to anti-Hunger initiatives. Challah for Hunger at Binghamton donates half of our profits to Mazon: A Jewish Response to Hunger. The other half of our profits goes to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier who works tirelessly to feed the people in our community.
