Shabbat is the time each week when the Jewish community at Binghamton University comes together to relax and celebrate in a warm, welcoming, and pluralistic atmosphere.
Every week Hillel hosts student led Reform and Conservative services followed by a FREE festive Shabbat dinner with over 200 students in the University Union.
Friday Night Services
Reform (RJH): Provides community based service lead with a guitar
Conservative (KOACH): Traditional egalitarian student led services
Orthodox (OU-JLIC): Spirited and traditional Carlebach Davening
Friday Night Dinner
Join over 200 students for a FREE KOSHER Shabbat dinner in the C4 Dining Hall at 7:30pm every Friday night. Includes words of Torah from students, dinner, dessert, and singing.
Join Koach for Shacharit and Mincha scheduled throughout the semester
(Lunch and breakfast both served weeks where there is Shacharit)
Seudah Shlishit (The 3rd meal of Shabbat)
Every week an hour and a half before the ending of Shabbat. Friends, Food, Singing, Ma'ariv, and Havdallah!
