Fresh Fest FAQs

What is FreshFest?

FreshFest is Hillel at Binghamton's Retreat for Incoming Freshman, Israel Freshman, and Transfers on August 19th, from brunch through 11pm for our annual FreshFest!  On this day-long retreat, you will meet current students, Hillel staff, and most importantly, incoming students just like you.  FreshFest will be a camp-like atmosphere with fun bonding activities for all.  Share an unforgettable experience with your new Jewish Bearcats family!  We can't wait to meet you!

How must does it cost?  What is included?

The fee for FreshFest is $100 if you register by August 1st, and $125 if you register after August 1st.  Included is the brunch for incoming students and families, all FreshFest activities, transportation to our off campus retreat site, Hillel swag, and kosher meals for the day.

Is it Kosher?

All of Hillel at Binghamton's activities on and off campus provide kosher food.  If you would like additional information, please contact the Hillel at Binghamton office at 607-777-3424.

How much time do we really have to move in?

Most FreshFest participants have found that if they move in at 9:00am and are relatively efficient, they are set to join FreshFest at 1:00pm.  You can also continue to move in and set up your room after FreshFest concludes.  Some parents have stayed in Binghamton to continue setting up while the student attends FreshFest.
