Our mission is to raise awareness of, and money for, hunger and disaster relief, through the production and sale of Challah bread. There are several chapters all over the country, we were proud to introduce Binghamton to Challah for Hunger in February 2009.

About Challah for Hunger
At Binghamton, we bake and braid Challah loaves every Wednesday and we bake, bag and sell the loaves every Thursday. Baking takes place in the on campus Sodexo bakery located near Physical Facilities. You can purchase your Challah in the New Union on Thursdays from 2-4pm.
Like other chapters, Challah for Hunger at Binghamton donates half of the proceeds to genocide relief in Darfur through the American Jewish World Service Sudan Relief and Advocacy Fund. We donate the remaining half to Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (C.H.O.W.), which serves to help end hunger in Broome County.
