Hillel at Binghamton provides countless opportunities for students to learn and implement leadership skills. Whether students want to serve on the executive board, chair a specific program or have an internship through Hillel, you can take an idea and execute it from start to finish. Hillel hosts on-campus seminars and retreats, helps students find jobs and internships, and sends students to national and international leadership training conferences.
The college experience is about more than just receiving a degree. It is a time to learn and use skills and tools that will last well beyond the college years.
Whether it is the through the Peer Network Engagement Internship, the Hillel Internships, the Student Board or working with a Hillel staff member to create your own experience, Hillel at Binghamton is a place to be or become a leader.
There are two main types of Leadership Opportunities:
Hillel Executive Board: Eleven Students are elected by the Hillel community to serve on the executive board. The Board meets weekly and is the main representative body of Hillel. The Executive Board develops a unified vision for Hillel's overall programming and is the main connection between the Student Association and the Hillel Community. Hillel's Leadership Teams and Chairs: Students are selected for various teams and positions that range through every Hillel sub-group and Programming Area. There is a Shabbat Team, a Tzedek (Social Justice) Team, a Social Teams, Denominational Teams (Kedma, Koach and RJH), an Educational Team, a Greek Life Team, a Challah for Hunger Team, an iNext Team, a Bearcats for Israel Team, a Public Relations Team and Much More! Applications for Leadership Teams will become available shortly after Spring Break (around April 5th).
