General "About" Binghamton University & Hillel at Binghamton FAQs
Intern, study or volunteer in Israel through Masa Israel.

My name is Meredith, and I’m a sophomore in Harpur college. I’m majoring in Politics, Philosophy, and Law (PPL), and minoring in Studio Art. Jewish life at Binghamton has become a large part of my college experience, and Hillel has opened up many windows of opportunity for me. As a member of FYSH (first year students of hillel) my freshman year, I began my journey as a Jewish leader, and am currently working as a Peer Network Engagement Intern. I am also a co-leader of Hillel’s biannual phone-a-thon which fundraises for the organization, as well as an active member of AEΦ.

Kira Farberov was born in Moscow, Russia and now lives in Brooklyn, New York. Her major is Psychology with minors in both Russian and Spanish. She is a senior member of the Binghamton University Dance Team, the Vice President of Social Programming on iNext and one of this year's Peer Network Engagement Interns. She loves food, competitive swimming and watching movies with her friends.

Katie Sokol is this year’s Masa Israel Intern. After taking a gap year on Young Judaea’s year course she is now studying Biology through the Harper School of Arts and Sciences at Binghamton University. Throughout her past three years here at Binghamton, Katie has made an effort to get involved with as much as she can handle. With an excellent, thriving Jewish life on campus, this is no hard task. Katie loves getting to know people whether it’s through talking, dancing, or through a sport!
